In all cases I could find, original Grade 8.8 metric hardware was referred to as 8G on bolts, and was bright plated. Whether zinc or cadmium, I do not know. Grade 10.9 hardware was referred to as 10K, and was finished in black oxide.
“Bolts” refer to hex head screws.
“Lock rings” refer to split lock washers.
“Spring washers” refer to wavy round washers.
“Washers” refer to regular and fender flat washers.
Whenever there is a pair of items, such as shocks or calipers, the total hardware needed for both left and right side is listed.
